Healing the World Wide Web... One Page at a Time

This is my Private process to Search Engine Optimize a website.

First determine if the video needs rotating.

The video I took of Rick was not only a .mov it was also on its side.

.MOV is apple Quicktime format.

I first used software from DVDvideosoft.com to rotate the video and save as an AVI file. This threw the voice/video syncronization off by about 8 seconds.

I then used software from x2xsoft.com "free video flip and rotate"

This changed the file into an MP4 when it rotated it and the sync was very close, about a half second.

Next change to a Flash file

I then went back to the DVDvideosoft.com video suite to create a flash file. I created an .FLV which has more options on the output video toolbar than the .SWF option.

No real problems here though I had to edit the folder that the video was in. Look at the .XML file and the code that you paste into the html page. In the XML file you can add directions to a pic that shows in the video placeholder before you play the video. put something here so you don't have to see a black placeholder on the video. Look for "<param name="startimage" " in the xml file.
